The Expresso Livre is an entirely open source-based email, calendar and address-book solution. It is a customized version of the german tool E-GroupWare, and its aim is to provide to the State of Paraná government's employees an efficient and cost-saving tool. Its features include:

• ExpressoMail: An efficient and user-friendly email tool. Has all the most important features of the best web-based email systems.


• Calendar: It is synchronized with the email module. Users receive warning emails for set appointments. Easy to use.


• Address book: A comprehensive address book for all the state government departments and offices, along with a personal address book. Allows the creation of personal groups.


• Wokflow: A module for workflow development. Allows process mapping, using activities, transitions, profiles and access control. There is a workflow engine integrated to the module, which manages all the flows and makes the development an easy task.

Having being developed in PHP and AJAX, Expresso Livre demands less data traffic, and therefore a faster response time.
